PRACTICE AND CONFIDENTIALITY

I am committed to giving you the very best service. We will focus on what matters most to you in a way that is safe, respectful, and effective. At the end of our first session I will give you time alone to talk with one another before making your next appointment.

I always welcome feedback and will check with you each session to make sure that we are on track and achieving the positive changes you want.

CONFIDENTIALITY

What we talk about in therapy is private and confidential. It can't be disclosed to anyone else without your permission, unless there are serious concerns about your (or anyone else's) safety.

I am extremely careful regarding privacy. I write in shorthand, I file numerically and I do not put your surname on any notes.

As a professional therapist and member of the NZ Association of Counsellors, I am required to have regular clinical supervision to ensure the quality of my work is maintained. My supervisor is bound by the same rules of confidentiality.
